Well, hello retro shades!

Back in the 80’s, who didn’t rock a pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses or some knock off? Mine were real Ray-Bans in black and tortoise shell — big, bold and fabulous. If you remember the opening sequence of Beverly Hills 90210, Jason Priestly totally rocked a knock-off pair of black ones with neon arms. He was on the beach at the beach club, wearing that chest-hugging polo and short … I digress.

Well, this is one style making a big comeback. Have you seen Kristen Cavallari sporting a pair on MTV’s The Hills? No doubt, her wearing them is making the popular across generations … again. If you don’t have a vintage pair of Ray-Bans hiding in the attic, you can buy a new pair from their updated line. The genuine Ray-Bans are sturdy and can handle some abuse (not that I advocate abusing your sunglasses … but face it. Who hasn’t ever accidentally dropped or sat on a pair?) Check out Ray-Ban for a variety of colors and styles, which start at $109.

If you are looking for more of a steal though, Target has a selection of copycat Wayfarers starting at $12.99. I’d have to go with the Xhiliration ones in Zebra.
