Last week, I shared my thoughts on several Youthful Essentials products. The company makes many products so I wanted to touch on a few more.
To refresh your memory, Youthful Essentials is a natural skin care line made by Sun Country Naturals. The company is a member of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, and prides itself on the high-quality antioxidant ingredients used in its products such as Alpha Lipoic Acid and Vitamins A, C, D and E. The products are made without additives, dyes and fillers, something that is nice to hear in a time when too many products are filled with pronounceable ingredients. Oh, and my fav mini-fact? These have a three year shelf life once opened.
Now, onto the products:
Facial Cleanser – I love the light, citrus-y smell of this cleanser. It’s a nice wake-me-up scent for washing your face after a long night’s sleep. It leaves the face feeling smooth and visibly cleaner. Plus, it’s very gentle and didn’t irritate my ultra-sensitive skin one bit. That’s something important that I look for when choosing any facial product. (4 oz/$12.99)
Hyaluronic Gel – When I opened the Hydaluronic Gel, I was a little taken aback. It really is gel-like, and quite liquidy. Nonetheless, after trying it, I was sold. This is an oil-free moisturizer that holds in the moisture on your skin, so that it stays hydrated and beautiful. According to Youthful Essentials, it also stimulates new cell growth and normalizes alkaline and acids on the skin. (1 fl/$38.99)
Wrinkle Serum – Admittedly, I don’t have any wrinkles, but I do have a few faint fine lines. So, this was a hard one to test. Nonetheless, after a few days of applying this before my nightly moisturizer, I found that my laugh lines began to fade into nothingness. According to Youthful Essentials, this formula battles the causes of wrinkles and lines right at their source: the layers of your skin. (1 oz/$39.99)
