mint-chocolage-fudge-browniesWhen it comes to mail-order munchies, I’m a keep-at-arm’s-length kind of girl.  It comes from much disappointment because things tend to arrive stale, broken and just downright different than you expect.  That’s not to say that all mail-order food items are like this – they’re definitely not and I have a few favorites that I buy and recommend to prove this.  It’s more that I just tend to buy local instead.

So you know when the folks at Harvard Sweet Boutique nicely offered to send me some samples, I was skeptical but readily agreed.  When the box arrived, it was perfect timing since I had guests coming over.  Although it meant I’d have to share, it also gave me the chance to see what others thought as well.

To start with, the packaging is gorgeous and perfect for Spring.  A brightly patterned box complete with complementary ribbon greeted me after I opened the brown packing box that the brownies arrived in.

First up?  Their Mint Chocolate Fudge Brownies.  They were individually wrapped and six will run you $20.  The individual brownies are generously sized and we dug in.  One bite.  Then another.  And another.  Gotta love a product that makes me eat my words … literally.  Moist, fudgy, a hint of mint and beyond fresh.  Excellent.  Color me surprised, but happily so.  Most orders placed by noon are shipped the same day, so this very delicious freshness can be yours too.

Two very hearty, happy thumbs up from us!
