I am a big fan of shopping local, whether it be for food, clothing or items for the house.  Besides the environmentally friendly aspects of doing so, I like to be able to support the local community with my dollars.  If I can get something cute and organic on top of that?  Just icing on the cake.  Or in this case, the cupcake.  Enter Pure and Little.  I first heard about Pure and Little from a NJ-based daily email that I subscribe to, which keeps me in the know for local happenings, events, stores and more.  As soon as I visited Pure and Little’s site, I was hooked.  They were established in 2008 and have everything you’ll need, in an organic way, for your little one.  Adorableness abounds … now for the cupcake onesie review.

The GOOD: Made by Kee-Ka, the onesie is made from 100% certified organic cotton and is so soft that you just want to rub your cheek all over it.  Exactly what you want against your baby’s skin.  Heck, I want it against my skin!  The snaps are nickel-free and the onesie arrives in an environmentally-friendly cute little cardboard box.  Better still, put a stamp on the box and you can pop it in the mail, a perfect way to surprise your favorite little someone.

The BAD: Like most things organic or environmentally friendly, it’s going to cost a bit more than your average onesie.  But you’re getting something more than your average onesie.

MONEY MATTERS: The onesie retails for $24.00 and can be purchased from Pure and Little.

The MOM VERDICT

Cate says: If you know me, you know I am a sucker for cupcakes.  While I love to bake, share and eat them, give me a cupcake-themed item for my daughter, and I’m over the top, so you know my eyes lit up as soon as they cast upon this onesie.  It is uber-soft and the pink shades are dark but pop.  Absolutely adorable, and then some.  The onesie has been washed and worn a number of times and it has held up beautifully.  The sizing is accurate and the neck is nice and wide to allow for easy-on and easy-off, which makes for a very happy baby.  Color us happy, cupcake happy.
