We love books. All of us. Board books for the baby, all sorts of books for my six-year-old and me … well, non-fiction, the occasional chick-lit, business and marketing, biographies and food books. I’m sort of all over the place. Recently, we discovered a new-to-us baby book for Madeline… Ten Stinky Babies.
The GOOD: Fashioned along the lines of “ten little monkeys jumping on the bed, one fell off and bumped his head,” it was an easy read that was fun and engaging for all of us. Definitely a storyline that we can all relate too. Adorable pictures, it was fun and Nicholas read a lot of it to his sister, which was a bonus.
The BAD: Nothing at all.
MONEY MATTERS: Ten Stinky Babies is published by Tricycle Press and retails for $12.95. It is available from your favorite local bookstore or online at Amazon.
The MOM VERDICT
Cate says: I’m a big fan of the popular Ten Little Monkeys book, so I was pretty sure going in that I’d like this one too. My son is learning how to read, so he enjoyed taking turns with me and reading the story out loud to his sister. She actually sat through most of it and listened, and we reread it again for her right after. This is going to be a new favorite in our household. Two thumbs up from us.

Thanks for the recommendation. My son loves books and I am always on the look out for new ones to read to him.
