October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is an illness that has claimed the lives of millions of women, but through research and education, it may not have to anymore. That’s why The Voice of Mom is featuring items with a Think Pink theme — things where a portion of proceeds go towards research and support for breast cancer victims.

The SmartShopper Grocery List Organizer ($99.99) is a device designed to make grocery list making easier. Simply use the voice-activated personal organizer to record your shopping list. It matches it up with the 2,500 pre-programmed items (you can add unique ones, if necessary, too). Then, when you are done, you hit print and it gives you an itemized (by category) list of what you need. I haven’t tried it, but it certainly sounds like it could be a huge time saver. Better yet, a portion of the proceeds from each sale is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

HandiRecords Pink Classic ($9.99) is a medical information organizer. The size of a checkbook, the 24-page HandiRecords is an easy way to keep full medical histories, medical contact information and allergy information at your fingertips — wherever you are. HandiRecords is donating $1.00 from each sale of this to organizations that are fighting breast cancer.

Philips has a 7″ screen portable DVD player ($99.99) that benefits the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The company has pledged a $150,000 donation to the organization.

You can feel good about using Zensual’s hand-crafted Asian Lychee Blossom candles and diffusers ($8-$58). Packaged in 100 percent recycled glassware, the company is donating 30 percent of its proceeds from items with that scent to cancer research. Likewise, Lumar of Beverly Hills is donating 10 percent of its proceeds from the fragrance Aphrodisiac ($92) to cancer research. The scent has hints of orange blossom, mimosa and more. And Cor is donating 10 percent of its proceeds from its facial soap ($14 for a sample size, $125 for the full size), which cleans with silver — yes, silver.
